This Privacy Policy explains how Chat Celeste Inc., doing business as NordLabs ("NordLabs", "we", "us"), handles information related to DRAUGR: First Night (the "Game"), our virtual reality game for Meta Quest 3 and 3S, sold on the Meta Horizon Store.

The short version: the Game does not collect your personal information, and it does not send anything to NordLabs. It keeps your settings and best round on your headset. Meta checks that you own the Game. That's it.

This policy covers the Game only. If you buy products from nordlabsgaming.com (including a Comfort Strap that comes with a Game key), that purchase is covered by our store privacy policy: https://nordlabsgaming.com/policies/privacy-policy.

1. Who we are

The Game is made and published by Chat Celeste Inc., a corporation registered in Quebec, Canada, operating as NordLabs.

Privacy contact: draugr@nordlabsgaming.com
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Stephen Liberatore, President, reachable at the same email.

2. Information the Game does not collect

The Game does not:

  • ask you to create an account, or collect your name, email address, phone number, payment details or Meta login;
  • read your Meta username, user ID, profile, friends list or avatar;
  • use the headset microphone, cameras, passthrough, hand tracking or your location;
  • include advertising, ad identifiers, analytics or tracking tools, or crash-reporting services;
  • have chat, multiplayer, user-generated content, leaderboards or in-app purchases;
  • keep gameplay logs or usage statistics;
  • send any data to NordLabs servers or to any third party. NordLabs runs no servers for the Game.

3. Information the Game processes or stores on your headset

a. Ownership check (processed by Meta). Each time the Game starts, it asks the Meta Horizon platform on your headset whether the Meta account signed in on the headset owns the Game. Meta answers yes or no, and the Game uses that answer only to decide whether to start or close. NordLabs does not receive your Meta account details from this check. Meta processes this information under its own privacy policy: https://www.meta.com/legal/privacy-policy/. If the check fails, a short technical reason is written to the headset's local system log and is not sent to us.

b. Settings and progress (stored on your headset). The Game saves your choices so they are the same next time you play: movement and turning options, seated mode, left-handed mode, gore level, display options (such as the on-screen info and the frames-per-second counter), whether you've finished the tutorial and which tips you've already seen, and your best round reached. This information stays on your headset in the Game's own storage. It is not linked to your identity and is not sent to us.

c. Motion and controller input (processed in real time). Like every VR game, the Game uses your headset and controller positions and button presses while you play, so it can draw the world and respond to your hands. This is processed live on the headset and is not recorded or sent anywhere.

d. Meta platform data. Your headset, the Meta Horizon Store and the Meta Horizon app are run by Meta, which collects its own information (for example, purchases, installs, play time and crash reports) under Meta's privacy policy. NordLabs may receive aggregate sales and usage reports from Meta that do not identify individual players.

4. Information you send us directly

If you email us for help or redeem a Game key from a NordLabs promotion, we receive what you give us: typically your email address, your name if you include it, your NordLabs order number, and the content of your message. We use it only to answer you, deliver or troubleshoot your Game key, and keep a record that a key was sent for that order so it isn't sent twice. For Comfort Strap buyers, the order details themselves are covered by our store privacy policy (linked above).

5. How we use information

We use the information described above only to:

  • run the Game and remember your settings and best round (on your headset);
  • check that the Game is licensed to your Meta account (done by Meta);
  • answer support requests and deliver promotional Game keys.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for advertising, or build profiles about you.

6. Sharing

We share information only:

  • with service providers who help us answer email and run our store, such as our email provider and our online store platform (Shopify). They may only use it to provide that service to us;
  • with Meta, where needed to deliver a Game key you asked us to send through Meta's systems (for example, a gift sent to the email address you gave us);
  • if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or NordLabs.

7. Keeping and deleting your information

Data on your headset. Everything the Game stores (settings and best round) is in the Game's own storage on your headset. Uninstalling the Game deletes it. You can do this any time from your headset's Library. If you use Meta's cloud backup, Meta may keep a copy, which you can delete through your Meta account.

Data you sent us. We keep support emails and key-delivery records only as long as we need them to help you and to prevent duplicate key claims, and then delete them within 24 months after your last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer (for example, tax records for a purchase).

How to ask for deletion. Anyone, wherever they live, can ask us to delete the information we hold about them. Email draugr@nordlabsgaming.com with the subject "Delete my data" and include the email address and any NordLabs order number you used with us. We'll confirm when it's done, within 30 days. There is no charge. We may keep a minimal record only where the law requires it (for example, purchase records we must keep for tax purposes) or to show that we handled your request. If we can't delete something, we'll tell you which part and why.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. We offer these rights to all users, regardless of where they live. Contact us at draugr@nordlabsgaming.com, and we will answer within 30 days. In Quebec you can also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information.

9. Children

The Game contains realistic violence, blood and gore and is intended for mature players. It is not directed at children under 13. The Game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information (for example, by email), contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The Game does not transmit your data, so nothing about your gameplay leaves your headset. Information you email us is kept in access-controlled business accounts. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

11. Where information is processed

NordLabs is based in Quebec, Canada. Our email and store providers, and Meta, may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

If the Game changes how it handles data (for example, if we add online leaderboards or in-game purchases), we'll update this policy before that version is released and change the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the Game's update notes.
